This “Force Feedback Drawing Table” was created as a functional component of my comprehensive PhD qualifying exam in the Arts, Media and Engineering Program at Arizona State University.  The hardware consists of a two axis positioning system fabricated from salvaged printer parts.  The motion of a strong permanent magnet is driven from a computer, via a microcontroller.  Motion can be algorithmically defined or controlled with real time human input via a tablet or mouse interface.
